Achieve Healthy Glowing Skin with Summer Skincare

You know that your skin changes with the seasons. Your skincare should too. Now is the time to plan your skincare for summer and to decide what improvements you want to make to your skin, including achieving healthy glowing skin.

The lazy days of summer are great for your psyche, but they are hard on your skin. Plus, your anti-aging skincare usually takes a back seat to your “fun in the sun.” Summer is a great time to give your skin the much-needed attention it craves, including adding this wonderfully hydrating mask.

It is made from simple natural ingredients that are easy to obtain from your local grocery store. We made this mask from succulent ingredients such as fresh, ripe peaches that moisturize and bring a glow to a dryer end of summer complexion. Peaches area great source of vitamins A and C, which are highly essential for skin health. Vitamin A provides moisture to the skin, which improves the skin’s texture making it soft and supple. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that protects the skin from free radical damage. When we add the cream -we add proteins and vitamins that improve the production of collagen and make your skin look young. The cream works as a skin lightener due to its lactic acid which takes away a faded tan and makes it light and luminous naturally.

This mask is as aromatic and delicious as it is nourishing and moisturizing for your skin. I have included enough of the ingredients so that you can eat a spoonful or two of the mixture before putting it on your skin. The flavor and smell of this mask is summer, sweet and smooth.

Application Tips: Be sure to pull the hair off your face and neck – a juicier mask has a habit of trickling down a bit into places where they are not welcome!! A mask should always be applied to a freshly cleansed, barely damp skin. Using your fingers, apply the mixture to the face, neck, and decollete (if desired), leave on for 30 minutes while lying down or reclining with feet elevated. The mask may be a bit runny, so wear the necessary hair and protective towels to catch any drips. After the allotted time, rinse in warm water.

The bottom line is that like the weather, your skin’s needs change with the seasons. Summer is a great time to make changes in your skincare regimen that un-weather your skin so that it continues to glow. Start by adding some key products. Look for ways to nourish your skin from the inside out and to replenish moisture from the outside in. By taking some time out of your week to care for, and do some deferred maintenance on, your skin, you’ll see improvements as the hot days of summer start emerging.
