The Benefits of Pumpkin Facemasks for Your Skin
If you are a Vata skin type with dryer skin that can chap in the winter, then this DIY Pumpkin Restorative Mask is for you. That’s because raw honey moisturizes your skin and lightens stubborn dark spots. Frankincense essential oil acts as an astringent that minimizes the appearance of large pores. The eggs nourish, hydrate, and moisturize dull skin. So, if you have dry, flaky skin, which is common for Vatas, then egg yolk is a wonderful ingredient to add to a face mask. If you have a Pitta skin that is subject to ruddiness, flushing and an oily T-zone with the odd pimple then this Pumpkin and Walnut Scrub is for you. The enzymes and vitamins in pumpkin, combined with the walnut powder and yogurt, help scrub away dead skin cells to reveal fresh glowing skin underneath. Honey is a natural humectant and has antimicrobial qualities which means it draws moisture to your skin and helps with that odd break-out.
